Human fragments were found at the crash site of the Mirage 2000N. If DNA tests have not yet yielded results, it is unfortunately very likely that the crew, a captain and a lieutenant, both aged 30, had perished in the crash.
The aircraft was found in a crater 25m excavated by the impact, which was filled with water from a nearby lake. Pumping operations are underway to reach the wreckage of the aircraft, which has largely disintegrated.
