Pomier Layrargues Shade Mölders - work in progress by Roy Grinnell Roy Grinnell

Pomier Layrargues-blind Mölders the German ace. Ongoing work by Roy Grinnell. (Reproduction prohibited. (C) Roy Grinnell)

Roy Grinnell currently working on a new table that will delight lovers of art and French aviation. This is a representation of the victory of René-Pomier Layrargues Werner Mölders on June 5, 1940 near Compiegne, in the Oise.

During this fight, 8 Dewoitine D.520 of GC II / 7 had been surprised by 15 Messerschmitt Bf 109 Mölders led by veteran of the English Civil War and holder of 39 aerial victories. Pomier-Layrargues managed to shoot down two German fighters before falling to the bullets of a third.

This table, which already promises to be superb, should be completed shortly and will be available through Bravo Bravo Aviation and the French Wing. Roy has also promised other paintings on the theme of the Battle of France, that we are already very impatient!
